Music Ministries at St. John
We sincerely hope that you would consider joining the Adult Choir here at St. John! No audition is required. Only a love for God and music is necessary to help enhance the music during the Celebration of the Eucharist
Adult Choir
This choir leads every Sunday during the 10:30am Mass, and occasionally during the 8am Mass (during special Feasts). Music consists of Traditional Latin Chant to Gospel. The Music is generally led by led by Pipe-Organ - sometimes enhanced with Symphonic Instruments.
Rehearsals are Sunday Mornings at 9:45am in the Youth Room (Upstairs).
Cantors
Whenever needed, Cantors help lead the Congregation in music with their voice. Cantors are needed for the 8 a.m. Sunday and 5 p.m. Saturday Masses.
Our Pipe Organ
We are blessed to have a beautiful instrument at St. John. Our Casavant Pipe Organ has: Three manuals, 4 divisions, 29 stops, 34 registers, 40 ranks, 2096 pipes, Manual compass is 56 notes, Pedal compass is 32 notes.
